If a sore doesn’t heal in two weeks, we may numb the area and take a tiny tissue sample. This is sent to a lab, and we will discuss the results with you as soon as they arrive (typically 7–10 days).

1. Thorough Clinical Examination
The doctor will carefully inspect the lesion or sore, reviewing your medical history and discussing how long the abnormality has been present and if it is causing any symptoms.
2. Local Anesthesia & Biopsy (If Needed)
If the sore requires testing, we will completely numb the area with local anesthesia. We then take a tiny, painless tissue sample (biopsy) to send to a specialized dental lab.
3. Lab Analysis
Our partner laboratory analyzes the tissue sample under a microscope to provide a definitive, accurate diagnosis of the cellular activity.
4. Results Consultation & Care Plan
Within 7 to 10 days, we will sit down with you to discuss the lab results. If treatment is required, we will outline a clear, step-by-step plan to resolve the issue and restore your oral health.
